Running a successful business is an emotional roller coaster,
especially if you’re a woman entrepreneur.
By the way, if you'd rather listen or watch the information on this page, here's a video. Otherwise, scroll on!
You’re calling all the shots and wearing all the hats with no one holding your hand.
Maybe you also have caring responsibilities for children, spouse or parents.
It's taking a toll on your mood and emotions and you're tired of carrying it all on your own.
The past few years have shown us all certainties are out the window.
You’re even more stressed, lonely and isolated than usual.
You wish you had the companionship of an entrepreneurs' support group--a group of women who get it, and who understand that mental and emotional wellness is important.
Because you know you would be stronger with support.
I know that you’re tough, strong and capable.
You’re smart.
You know how to push through—how else did you get where you are today?
But this is taking a toll on you.
You can be even stronger with support.
And I'm here to help.
I’m Shulamit Ber Levtov
You can call me Shula for short
I work with women business owners to discover what affects their mental and emotional wellbeing & create a plan to deal with it in an era of relentless stressors that can make you lose your shit on the daily.
I’m a Masters-level trauma therapist who has logged thousands of hours helping women entrepreneurs and professional women learn to manage stress and anxiety, and to get their sanity back after burning out.
Also, I'm an entrepreneur, just like you. I've been riding this rollercoaster for over 27 years.
I know how hard it can be to be responsible for it all on your own. I know how alienating it is when no-one understands your struggles or victories.
I know how draining it can be to wear all the hats and do all the things… all while bouncing back, crisis after crisis.
But I also know that support is what makes me stronger.
That’s why I started this emotion-focussed and supportive women entrepreneurs' support group.
What is the Women Entrepreneurs' Support Community?
It is a therapeutically supportive space in which you can speak and be heard about the emotional ups and downs of owning a business.
This therapeutic community gives you the support you need to effectively manage the emotional highs and lows of doing business, and stay strong.
This community is made up of women who understand and can relate to you.
This therapeutic community is supported and held by a trained professional who has spent more than 20 years helping people manage their anxiety and recover from stress and trauma.
This community is about support, solidarity and connection.
How the community works
It's a space that supports you in being brave, so you can talk about and explore the emotional aspects of being in business for yourself: the good, the bad and the ugly.
It's a therapeutic space of sharing emotions and experience. There is nothing so healing as knowing you’re not alone in your struggles, and nothing better than celebrating your successes in a community of women who get what these successes really mean.
In the course of our entrepreneurs support group meetings, you'll also receive education and training in stress management and resilience, as the issues arise. You will learn and practice key skills that empower you to handle the curveballs life throws your way.
Because you're stronger with support.
And when you’re stronger, your business is safer.
What you get
- 6 months of therapeutically supportive peer gatherings, every other Monday, 3:00 - 4:30 pm Eastern starting April 24th, 2023 . (via Zoom)
- Between-session community connection via Slack (chat software)
- Educational material and journalling prompts on developing resilience
Peer support gatherings
In the video calls--unlike with networking--you won’t have to wear your “I’ve got it all together” mask. You are welcome to talk honestly, with peers who get it, about how you are feeling, and about your struggles and successes.
In each call, there will be an initial short, quiet co-working time for reflection and mental health check-ins. Then peer sharing and discussion will focus on the topics and issues that arise from the reflections, or from what's current in the businesses and lives of those attending.
Resources
Supportive materials will be provided between sessions, such as short teachings and reflection prompts about the 6 domains of resilience.
Slack channel
The intention for Slack is as a way for participants to connect with one another between sessions. If something comes up for you and you want to connect and ask for support, you can use the WESC Slack channel. You can also use it to DM one another privately and connect that way.
Add-on options
You may discover, in the course of your participation in the women entrepreneurs' support group, that you want individualized support on one or more issues. If so, here are additional options.
Live, one-to-one support with Shulamit
You and I meet live, via phone or video. These sessions can include:
- Time and space to speak and be heard by a trained listener.
- Identifying your mental health lag and lead indicators and creating a mental health plan
- Consultation and instruction on resilience and stress-busting skills
- Coaching on emerging emotional issues
Asynchronous voice message support (Voxer)
This support option might be for you if you don't have time for a 1-hour live appointment.
Voxer support is ideal when:
- You want a place to unload your emotions about something that's in your way, so you can let go of it for now and get on with things.
- You want to verbally process something (a challenge or an insight) with someone who "gets it."
- You want verbal feedback, reassurance or brief coaching on a situation or technique.
